User Data Deletion Instructions

VanshVatika respects your privacy and gives you full control over your data. If you want to delete your data from VanshVatika, including any data received through Facebook Login, you can do so by following the instructions below.

What Data We Store from Facebook Login

When you sign in using Facebook, we receive and store only the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture URL

We do not access your Facebook friends list, posts, photos, or any other social data.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request complete deletion of your data by following any of these methods:

Method 1: Email Request

  1. Send an email to support@vanshvatika.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your VanshVatika account in the body of the email.
  3. If you signed in via Facebook, please mention that in your request.
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

Method 2: Remove Facebook App Access

You can also remove VanshVatika's access to your Facebook data directly from Facebook:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find "VanshVatika" in the list of apps.
  3. Click Remove to revoke access.
  4. Then email us at support@vanshvatika.com to request deletion of the data already stored on our end.

What Gets Deleted

When we process your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your user account and login credentials
  • Your profile information (name, email, photo, bio, etc.)
  • Your Facebook-linked data (name, email, and profile picture received from Facebook)
  • Your push notification subscriptions
  • Your profile photo from our image hosting service

Note: Family tree relationships that you created and that other users depend on may be anonymized (your personal details removed) rather than fully deleted, to preserve the integrity of connected family trees. No personally identifiable information will remain.

Confirmation

Once your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation email to the email address associated with your request. If your account email is no longer accessible, we will confirm via the email address you used to submit the request.

Processing Timeline

All data deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
